Paperclay Expert visiting USA
Paperclay is around half of all clay sales to studios and classrooms in=20
Australia and a similar trend is likely in the USA.
Paperclay is spreading "below the radar" as work is labelled "ceramic" to=
=20
avoid confusion with papier-m=E2ch=E9, or disguise the source of the new=20
technique expertise.
Barbara Brown suggested I let Clayart people know I have been invited to=20
give a talk on paperclay at the 2007 NCECA annual conference (Louisville,=
=20
Kentucky, USA March 14-17).
To cover the cost of travelling around the world from Western Australia, =
I=20
will teach/ give hands on workshops in the USA.
Over the last decade I have given over 150 demonstrations/workshops on=20
paperclay in 8 countries (see list at www.grahamhay.com.au/workshops.html=
)=20
and written 8 journal papers (see=20
http://www.grahamhay.com.au/articles.html).
I receive no remuneration from paperclay manufacturers or retailers.
I will be available between 19 March and 3 April, and also prior to the=20
conference.
Any contacts or advise would be great..
Regards
Graham Hay
