Hello Everyone,
My name is Paul Andrew Wandless (long time reader, first time poster) and I will be one of seven
demonstrators at a Potters Council Regional Conference called Clay Expresison in Indianapolis that
is hosted by AMACO. The workshop I am giviing will be an introduction to various image transfer
techniques. I'll cover monoprinting on plaster slabs, stenciling, stamping, embossing and relief
printing. See how easy it is to combine printmaking and ceramics to create original images to be
used multiple times in your work. I am also the author of the new Lark book Image Transfer On
Clay that will be out in October and will be available and happy to answer other questions
regarding decals, screening and othe image transfer questions you may have. It will be a fun
workshop and you don't need any prior experience in clay or printmaking to participate. I will
have lots of examples and samples of everything I'm covering and advance copies of the book for
folks to see if interested. My personal website is www.studio3artcompany.com if you want to see
more of my work or images of past workshops I've given. Click on the blog icon on my site that
will take you to my interactive site that has image transfer processes in progress for you to see.
Please feel free to contact me directly with any questions and I'll be glad to answer them.
The other demonstrators are Dee Schaad, Randy Schmidt, Rimas Visgirda, Melisa Cadell, Steve
Howell and Ron Korczynski. The keynote speaker will be Richard Zakin. You can go to
www.ceramics.org/potterscouncil/clayexpressions/ for registration information. My fellow image
transfer friend Doug Gray just put on a great regional conference that I know many of you
attended and had a great time. We hope to have the same great experience at Clay Expressions.
Thanks for reading this,
Paul

Hi, Nice to have you on the list! I became an instant fan of yours when I
saw your book on Amazon - I preordered it. I am a printmaker who also works
in clay and my ideal work is to join my two loves. I am looking forward to
reading that book!
See you around Clayart,
Samantha (Sammy) Tomich,
