I recommend "Sugar Blues," by William Dufty. I read it in
1978, and it changed my life. The day after I read the book,
I gave up white sugar. After about a week I noticed that I
had greater mental equilibrium. I am convinced that a vast
number of divorces are caused by sugar addiction.
"Sugar Blues" is not a dry technical book. It is a history
of processed sugar, and a real page turner.
