A while back, Jeff Zamek wrote an interesting article in CM
showing a typical ^6 floating blue recipe with GB,
and then how it looked using 6 different replacement materials.

To me, Tony Hansen's Boraq looked like the best straight across
sustainable substitution for this type of glaze.

I've also had good non GB results using Ron Roy's

Hi David,

I remember doing some experiments using several of the GB replacements and
the Gillespie Borate won hands down - which did not surprise me because the
analysis was the closest to the average GB analysis I have been using over
the years.
