artist without adjectives

If anyone can find a new word for
the activities I do 8 hours a day,
5 to 6 days per week,
50 weeks per year for the
past 20 years ...
I will stop calling myself an artist.

I fill that space on every form I get
be it a customs, IRS, passport, license
with ... occupation: artist.

I never add an adjective ...
like good, bad, mediocre, awful ...
frankly, no one asks or really cares.

It's what I do, what I am and so what?

Get over it ...
... with that designation and a couple
dollars I can get a coffee and a donut.

If you want to lay all kinds of baggage
on the occupation, go ahead. But don't
expect others to carry your load.

I also consider a true craftsperson to be
above an artist since for me, the term
implies an ability to execute art with
disciplined ability.

Chris Campbell - in North Carolina - saying to Lili -
stop that fall housecleaning immediately ... yikes ...
you are making the rest of us look bad. (grin)

AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH ...
See the movie and pass the word on.
Your grandchildren will thank you.

On my business card it says - artist/potter/craftsman
I make a living by teaching.

I am many things, you take a pick as to what you want to call me.

What would life be if
we had no courage to
attempt anything?
