Hi,

Too many closets, too much plastic. I use a small regular closet. I painted
the inside with deck sealer, then sealed the door frame with insulation and
put in wire racks. It works as a damp closet. Put a dehumidifier in the
bottom - it works as a drying closet. So, I put (tiles) in the closet and
let them sit on wire racks until the closet is full (or the order is done).
Then I turn on the dehumidier, which has a low, medium and high setting that
I turn up as needed. In 2 days, I can fire them.

The dehumidifer that I bought is a SoleusAir (25 pint) from Amazon (app.
$120?). It was hard to find the right size, since many dehumidifiers are
made for a whole house and the small ones don't have enough water capacity
for clay, and would have to be emptied hourly..... It is amazing how much
water comes out of clay!

Just a note. I wrote and received many posts about 'flat tiles'. After
adding wire wedging (Michael Wendt) to all the clay before slab rolling, I
am getting about 99% flat with a clay without grog. (I was losing about 25%
before.) I am also getting muscles.... I have a very large order now, so
the amount of loss would have been painful, and I am very happy. Clayart
advice can really help!
