emails and generous potters

Hello ClayArt Contributors,

I'm new to the list and have just been looking and learning till now. I've
been a part-time potter off and on for 32 years and am just now setting up a
bare bones studio of my own again.

But the point I want to make is that I'm so appreciative of all the
knowledge and experience you all so readily share. That has always been my
experience with potters in general, but now with the internet it's like
Christmas everyday checking what I can learn or enjoy from you all.

Someone wrote about managing all the emails from this list and (you probably
already know this...) I find that an easy solution is to set up an email
"rule" within one's email software program that automatically puts all
clayart emails into a separate folder. Then one can carry on other email
business without the quantity intrusion and reward oneself at the end of the
day by going to that folder.

I apparently started this on 8/28/06 and today I have 1155 ClayArt treasures
to sort by subject or sender at my leisure.

Anyway, thank you.

I must agree with you! I've been meaning to thank everyone for their
private and public emails I've learned a lot and I now have some contacts
for questions (I'll try to not pester anyone too much :-) )

You guys/gals are the BEST!

And I like your idea for filing the emails to a folder... I get the digest
version - but those "immediate" emails could swamp one in a hurry! I like
the automatic filing idea since it allows you to do a sort to get everything
on a topic into one area (or a particular clayarter)

THANKS!
