Hi Folks I just posted some photos of the recent Architectural
Ceramics Workshop held here at Revival Tileworks last week.
We built a pretty massive door surround in 5 days. 1 day for
instruction on layout/design, design transfer, calculation of
shrinkage, making extruder dies and draw tools, intro, etc!
then 4 days of clay. We used about 1000 to 1200 pounds of clay for
the project .All but finishing flourishes on the top were finished by
workshop's end, with time for a tile tour and lunch at Tony's Jacal,
thanks to Marilyn!
I want to than the group who attended the workshop. Great ladies and
hard workers and fun too. Wow, did I luck out!!!!! I was so impressed
with their go go go !!!! these are some kick ass women!
I'll post a photo of project with finished details tomorrow, but
meanwhile take a peek!
