Diana's Workshop will include the following:
Examine test tiles of 22 reduction and 30 oxidation
glazes
Carve extruded clay rollers for making patterns.
Please bring loop tools for carving.
Make flat patterned test tiles with die and rollers
Make holders for the test tiles with extruder die.
Everyone will make one “Fast five” color variation
test using 37 already made glazes -- 22 reduction and
15 oxidation. “Fast five” tiles will be provided.
Demonstration of Oribe shaped dishes, cups, etc. using
extrusion and patterned rollers.
Participants will bisque and use their own new rollers
at home to make their own test tiles to bring bisqued
to the following Saturday workshop to dip in all the
glazes.
Each participant can take home tests to fire.
Bring boxes and packing material to carry raw glazed
test tiles home.
Saturday October 7 and 14 10am-4pm.
