I have a 1027 with manual switches, but do not do a lot of slow cooling.

When I set all my switches to med it holds the temperature at the time I set
them. I am sure that if I held them more than an hour it probably would
start dropping some.

I have two pyrometers so I can measure the drop or hold.

They were only $100 each and have been a life saver.

You may want to just use your schedule and change the times to at least 30
minutes to an hour at each setting.
