i have been researching how to motorize my randall kick wheel and possibly change the wheel head to a flat alluminun type from the bucket type it now has. its getting harder to make the plaster bats that drop down into the bucket head and i have been wanting to motorize the wheel for some time. i am wondering if it would be cheaper to just buy a new electric wheel? I love my randall, it was a raffle win from my college ceramics dept so im not sure i want to part ways with it. ive found on clayart how to get a motor for one and so on, the hard part seems to be finding a image of a motorized randall so i can have the mounts copied and to figure out how to mount the wheel attachment to move the fly wheel from underneath. also, I have a friend that welds so he would be able to mount the new wheel head, i just need to know where to find one? do i look specifically for one that would fit a randall or can say a brent head substitute.
thanks to all that can help...i need every bit here

When I despair, I remember that all through history the ways of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants, and murderers, and for a time they can seem invincible, but in the end they always fall. Think of it - always.
