I don't know if what you have works the same way as my Gmail account...but
when I type in a link like you said, I found out that it isn't really
operational until you send it. I mean if you click on the link to make sure
it works before hitting the send button...nothing happens like you said. I
have to trust that it will work...send the message...then I can go to my
sent folder pull up that message and when I click on the link...then it
works. I just had a thought that I haven't tried. I wonder if I save the
message to my draft folder...if it the link would work then?

If you are unsure of the accuracy of a link...you could always test it by
sending it in a message to yourself before sending it to others...

Hey Patrick,

THanks for the input, but you misunderstood what I said. I'm talking
about links that I receive in email from other people; for example, when
mel posts a link to his webpage in a clayart email, I should be able to
click on it from that email, then Firefox open up with that webpage.
That is how Explorer works; one would think that Firefox would be the
same.

In snooping around the Firefox/Thunderbird FAQs last night trying to
figure out how to make the program do what I think it should already be
configured to do, I discovered that the developers want YOU, the
consumer (i.e. me, in this case) to be able to find folders inside the
program and modify them by creating files and adding code provided by
the developers to those files. I did somehow manage to find the PROFILE
folder where all this is supposed to happen, and I made the .js file it
said to make, but the file won't open, and therefore I can't paste the
provided code. I THOUGHT I was going to like these programs, but
I feel myself being pulled back towards OE because it already DOES these
very basic things and I don't have to do computer programming in my
spare time.
