All,
the soundtrack to my slide show was used with permission from the artist
himself, Mr. Billy Ray Mangham. Billy Ray's song, "Texas Clay" was included
on the inventory catalog CD graciously provided by Trinity Ceramics Supply
Inc. to many of the attendees to NCECA this year. The CD also contains more
of Billy Ray and David Hendley with the Extrudinaires singing "The Potter's
Tango". David said that the group is a "Humus" music kinda group of
musicians,,,, as in "humus a tune".
There are more talented people playing and singing on the CD. No clay loving
Texan would be without a copy.

My clay travels in Blue Velvet continue next weekend to Nashville Tennessee,
November 4th only. Private gig with all my hometown friends and family. My
pottery will be there so if anyone should be in the area contact me off list
for special invitation and directions to the stoneware party and sale.

Howdy ClayArt Community,

As you may be already aware, the TCF happened in Gruene Texas this past
weekend. Large numbers of knowledgeable patrons, collectors as well as clay
wranglers. Many very talented clay artists from all over Texas! I got around
with my camera as much as I could to capture the event... but had to fill in
with some photos of my own new work in the beginning to keep up with the
music.
I read that iron red glazes were the topic of the list over the weekend
whilst I was at "work", check out the photos of my iron red glaze!

Please enjoy visiting the best little pottery fair in Texas.

Thanks for the photos! Looks like it was a great festival as usual. That
red shirt of Davids is perfect. Really wanted to see everyone this year
but just couldn't make it....

All I can say is WOW

Dale,

Thanks for sharing, I enjoyed both the pictures and the music. Cool to hear a song devoted to potters and I was pretty sure that was our own David Hendley? I missed most of the captions, too carried away with looking at the pots.
