1. I wish I wish I wish in vain that more suppliers were assertive in
telling people what glazes will work with what clay bodies. I cannot
understand why manufacturers of these products do not put out a chart on the
Internet that says: X's 04 glaze will NOT work on this or that body. (Or
why it is SO important to deal with a knowledgeable supplier even if/when it
means paying extra freight. I also might suggest that Noobies (love that
spelling) bite the proverbial bullet, get the materials for a simple (3
ingredient) clear glaze that can be tweaked to adjust.

And a question: is it possible that that glaze does not craze over the
underglazes because the underglaze has some flux in it and fluxes the
interface?

2. Zinc will turn chrome greens to puke brown. If your glaze contains
zinc...

3. For years now strontium has been used to replace barium in glazes. Some
people use it one for one (same weight strontium to replace that weight
barium) some people adjust....I use one for one, sometimes need to make some
changes. TEST!
