A nearby school got a remodel and their electricity got switched from
240 to 208.
They have 2 big Olympic electric kilns they've been using for
several years.
I don't have any experience with 208, but they would like some
advise as to solutions.
If you have some experience with 208 , please contact me off line.
Thanks a bunch,

You just have to change the elements We have to have our kilns wired for 208
here in NYC and the only difference is that when you order the elements
specify that they are for 208. You could try Euclids in Canada they have good
prices and they are very helpful

Sometimes converting a kiln from 240 volts to 208 is as
simple as changing the elements--but not always. The kilns
may also have to be rewired. I suggest that you contact
Olympic to obtain wiring diagrams.
The electrical data plate on the side of the kiln lists the
voltage. Once you convert a kiln to 208 volts, you should
change the data plate. Otherwise, years from now someone may
order the wrong elements for that kiln.

Chic,
The only difference between 208 volts and 240 volts for your kilns are the
elements. Please feel free to give me a call at 800-241-4400 and I will be
happy to get you what you need to correct the problem.
