I'd bring more spicy potato chips if I thought "Captain Kiln" (insert echo ) would show up at NCECA!!! ;oD

Hi Mel, sorry I can't send you a picture of my bats and bat
system. I have slides, but no slide scanner - these are
slides from my 'Tool Doctors' presentation at the 2000
NCECA conference!
Maybe Taylor has some pictures.

My digital camera died a few weeks ago - quite a disappointment,
but, being more than 3 years old, it is hopelessly out-of-date
anyway.
I have decided to buy a Nikon D80 SLR, and will do so on my
next trip to Dallas (it's better to buy equipment form a dealer
who knows you, than on the internet). It's 10 megapixils, which
should be more than enough resolution for anything I will
ever do, and it will accept the lenses from my film-based Nikon
SLR. Interestingly, the effective focal length of the lenses
change when used on the digital, by a factor of 1.5. So, a 28mm
lens becomes a 42mm lens on the digital body (28 X 1.5).
The camera body is just under a thousand dollars. I know it
will be cheaper in a year or tow, but what can you do?

I'm glad you and Cheryl like my 'Captain Kiln' open house
announcement.
