Recently I posted a response to a message regarding the firing cycle
in Roy & Hesselberth. I made mention to a piece of software that I
wrote to help me control the rate of temperature change of my firings.
This message is to point people to ...

If your kiln is computer controlled this won't be of much actual use
to you ... though it will help you find out how accurately the
controller is reproducing the schedule.
If your kiln is not computer controlled, you would benefit from a
piece of software to help achieve the desired schedule. (It also
computes firing cost.)
So, the page describes the software a bit, and invites you to contact
me if you wish to have the software. Currently it is written in
Python for posix environments, so it would take effort to make it run
on windows. If there is sufficient interest, I will rewrite it in C++
in a portable way so that it will run on windows, mac, and posix
machines.
So, I am just wanting to gauge if there is interest. I would happily
do it for free for the community. Get in touch if you are interested.
Regards,
Mark.
