Hey Mary!
I've been single firing "forever" (47 years) As long as your pieces
are thoroughly dry, glaze them carefully by spraying, dipping or
brushing you will get a better glaze "fit" and a better glaze
appearance. Just handle the stuff with care and be sure to allow for
a pre-heating of a few hours before you run the temperature in the
kiln up.
