No it is one piece. The buyer loved it and ordered 3 other things...I
hope the idea of raising the kiln helps you.

Hi everyone! Well my special order 36" vase is done and gone. I want
to thank you all for your suggestions since my kiln is only 27" on the
inside. I have posted it in my yahoo photos at:

http://new.photos.yahoo.com/hilltoppottery/photo/294928803587916541/0

The leaves and flowers are carved in. These colors had to match her
curtains exactly, so it was bisque fired to cone 2 and handpainted and
sprayed with about 10 coats of shellac. She loved it and I'm happy it
is in a good home.

Catherine

I just tried the link and it worked ok. It's a little long but I
clicked it from the original message. Here it is again

http://new.photos.yahoo.com/hilltoppottery/photo/294928803587916541/0

I think yahoo made my photo album private and I just made it public
again so try the link now. I received a lot of ideas about how to fire
it. Make it in 2 pieces and increase the height of my kiln. Bonnie
Staffel suggested I take the lid off my kiln, stack fire brick and put
the lid back on. So I did that. I removed the lid, stacked 2 rows of
bricks and put the lid back on. I do think I lost a bunch of heat that
way and it took longer to get to cone 2 but it worked like a charm was
easy to do and the kiln went back together with no problem.

Hope this helps, if you need more specifics please email me.

I could raise the height of my kiln using them.=0D
The old Crusader heats remarkably fast and hot=0D
so that might be no problem.=0D
