Mel wrote that his average pot was $30.00.
Last week end the West Michigan Potters Guild had their annual fall show.
After all was done, I did notice that my average "pot" was $30.00.
What was popular? Bowls, Mugs, Steamers, Cracker Trays, French Butter
Dishes, Casseroles, Pie Plates. What glazes were popular? Red, Blue, Brown,
Pearl. What got people to stop and look at the pots? Platters for
the "wall", tall floor vases, lots of color, lots of different things to
select from.
Can I predict the public? NO! Can I give them a choice? YES!
Will my customers give me direction or will I give my customers a choice?
Choices are always personal.
