Well......... the twelve potters are set up with the exception of
Richard Brandt(who arrives this morning), and it looks wonderful,
thanks to the herculean efforts of a very accomplished staff. Samantha
is a human energy bar! and such a dear in the bargain. As usual, I have
far too much ware on display(332 pieces!), but with the "Migrations"
tiles mounted on the 'stage' behind my display, all looks real nice.
The two 30 inchers are front and center with some 24 inchers and 15
inchers flanking them. The boxes from wabiarts.com are beautiful,
signed, and the ribbon is tied real pretty.
I will take a nap in the motel from 1:30 to 3, and then clean up and
dress up like I am going to a Mitsukoshi opening........... Charcoal
slacks, dark blazer, royal blue shirt with navy tie, and white linen
opera scarf and a tiny tree frog on my lapel. The staff here dress like
they are going to the opera, and I don't want to let our side down. We
assemble in the gallery this year for a catered Thai
meal.........owners, staff, and potters.......at 4pm to nourish
ourselves for the event, which opens at six. The sushi goes fast,
though so better arrive early. Wish you all could be here for the Fun!
Tomorrow early am, I leave for Eugene to help ready our home for my Los
Angeles and New Mexico families on Turkey Day.
Cheers!

Didn't get my nap, but headed for the shower now. Thanks for the good
wishes.

Picture a cabinet tall enough to hold the shelves on edge, and with
enough room(6") underneath for a small light bulb, slats to support the
shelves above the bulb, and vent holes out the top unless the cabinet
is 'leaky'. that's it!
