sorry, i have to report to clayart:
i was curious, so i started to count.
i thought i might have 70 or 80 cups
and mugs in my collection, all from
other potters.
its a huge shock! i counted
them in my cupboard, on my kitchen shelves,
on my bookshelves, in the sink, in the dishwasher,
in the bathroom, one full with old coffee on my desk,
one full with scotch in my hand... ,
if i didnt miss one or two somewhere forgotten, i have
179 cups and mugs from potters and potterfriends,
bought, traded or gifts. i know its crazy.
i'd say half of them are from clayarters, maybe more.
and i didnt count the bowls! some small bowls, yes,
i counted like small teabowls, altho i dont drink tea,
but i use them every day for juice or milk.
its so funny to watch when my kids pick one to drink
from. they have an extremly good taste, simply by
growing up with great cups and mugs to drink from.
milk is the best from a temmoku cup- says my daughter.
kelly, i have a tiny tiny teapot and a small face teapot
from you, but couldnt have a drink with you tonight!
is there a cup or a mug in emu's kiln firing right now
with my name on it??????????
cheers,
marta

Marta,
I had over 87 Spanish potters' pots at one time. I didn't move all of
them to Texas.
But I now have space to get them out along with others'pots. I have
Clary Illian,
Dennis parks, And many from the Bray...Julie galloway, plus
clayarters pieces. I am glad
my husband keeps his collection of Astro Physics papers on his hard
drive. Although he does have a good selection of Scotch.
I may have to get some shot glasses in Louisville.
See you there.
