Hey Judy,

I was given a kiln like this several years ago. It was very easy to fit =
a vent system on it. I bought the Bailey downdraft wall mount vent. =
Just had to drill a small hole through the kiln wall near the base. The =
kit comes with great instructions and the vent is quiet. I also hooked =
the kiln up to a digital controller from Paragon. The controller mounts =
on the wall next to the kiln. The kiln plugs into the controller, and a =
lead wire runs a probe into one of the peeps. Poof! Computer =
controlled kiln from a 40 year old manual kiln. I have been using it =
for the last 3-4 years with great success. The folks at both Bailey and =
Paragon were very helpful. Explore the cost of shelves, vent and =
controller and see if its worth it to you.
Peace,
