Dear Wayne,

Interesting point. Let me think about that.

Jane Hamlyn would mix bread flour with the Bat Wash. This gave three =
advantages. because the four burnt and left cavities it broke away =
easily when it came to redressing the used shelves. Being porous it =
would adsorb more glaze drips. Combed into patterns it allowed =
penetration of vapour to the base of her pots and also left an =
impressive decorative motif.

Best regards,

Ivor Lewis.

Hi All
the mixing of the bread flour would only increase the silica content
of the wash flour is about 50-60% silica from memory

Dear Malcolm Cooke

You comment <the silica content of the wash flour is about 50-60% silica from memory =
>>

Now I have been under the impression for sixty years or so that Bread =
Wheat Flour was 99% Vegetable Starch.=20

The idea behind starch or Carboxymethyl Cellulose if Wallpaper adhesive =
is used is to help the stuff to adhere when it is applied.

Not sure what you might be thinking about !
