There was an article in today's NYT about R & F Paint company, which is a manufacturer of encaustic paints. Finally, I understand what encaustic is. And the company is fascinating: all employees are artists and they are proud of not only the quality of their product but also of their safety procedures.
Anyway, they do workshops on encaustic painting, both in NY and around the country. For those interested, here is the 2007 schedule:

Smart marketing on their part. The workshops no doubt increase their customer base!
