I seem to recall, having done both, that a mill for pulverising minerals =
has to rotate a bit faster than one that is abrading the surface of the =
gemstone material. So a Mill designed for gemstones runs slowly while =
one used to reduce quartz to an impalpable power runs fast.
I'll see if I can find some information.
