Wayne,
Just ship the "Sonotube-thingy" to the Gualt, use it to display your piece then wear the sono -outfit to the dance. That way you won't have to worry about taking off your shoes!
BTW, where do I send the check? I'm willing to pay to see that outfit!!!

"No!"
"Sir, we can't allow you to pass without inspecting your shoes."
"Listen you minimum wage earning moronic goose-stepping excuse for a
government (expletive deleted), I am NOT taking off my shoes. I can't bend
over in this outfit, and I am NOT taking THAT off for your amusement
either!"

No thanks, Phil!

Hi Wayne,

I imagine that if someone were to 'wear' the
length of Sonotube, the airplane people could not
really refuse.

If the Sonotube length were 'short' enough to be
able to wear and still sit down comfortably, even
if one had to hike-it-up a ways TO sit, then so
much the better. Be sorta like wearing a 'Barrel'.

One could incorporate it into some outfit or
other, tacky-spray adhesive some Cloth and so on,
with 'pockets' even, just to lend a little more
credibility, have some generous elastic
Suspenders, so it 'bobs' just a little as one
walks, and muddle through I think.

That, or just check it in as another check-in
Luggage, even though it is hollow and so on, but
just be sure to have some sticker with one's name
on it.

Hi Gang,

Are we doing pedestals for the floor or table top or is it up to each person to decide which to use?

That sounds like a Seinfield episode that never got filmed. LOL Kathryn,
