I have not heard back from the director at the Galt House
hotel as to the room we will use etc., for our private show for
clayart friends.
You will all be given the 'word' as soon as we have it.
As for now:
it will be one piece from each person.
we will have tables, much like the mug sale, so
you must bring your own display.
for example:
the box you bring it in can be used with a piece of
fabric...simple. direct.
no big deal, you set up your own pot. please do not ship
200 lb pots to the hotel. this is a pot you bring with you.
in your luggage...so, use good sense. we may even have the
mugs/exchange in the same room...i never know...each hotel, each venue
is different...we will all adjust when we get there.
they are still considering having some teapots in the lobby.
of course, they are nervous about theft and or breakage.
typical.
so.
hang on, don't get your undies in a bunch..this is not
a solo show in Tokyo. it is one pot, on a table.
so...we can all see examples of what you do...not just a mug.

Ah, finally, the suspense is over, as our Mayor has updated us on the
situation. No more speculation, tearing out hair, trying to figure out what to do,
and so on. Now, we just have to decide which piece and get to Louisville. Sounds
good to me. I am so looking forward to seeing everyone again. Have missed you
all!
Best to everyone, and of course, especially to our Mayor with thanks and
appreciation for organizing all of this.
