if you are using frits in your base glaze remember to
check the composition of the frit.
Ferro frit 3269 for example, an excellent and
commonly used frit
has some zinc in it and will often brown out those
chrome
induced greens.

As I'm just learning about mixing glazes, currently still using commercial ones, and concentrate on earthtones, this is a nice thing to know.

I visited your site and very much admire your work. My site wasn't finished before the storm, so is only half done, so if you visit please check back again soon as it's currently with someone who is doing a major reconstruction to replace it with something better than I was working on at the time I had to leave it to concentrate on putting our pottery back together.
