go with flexiable copper line, it is sold in a roll 25ft lengths with a yellow plastic protective cover. i have used this for the last few kilns, it bends nicely, but no real hard fast 90 degree turns, it will bend up off the groiund to burners with no problem, one thing you have to do is cover the flexible pipe with pvc where it touches concrete as it will not be happy, plus its just a little safer and you must fasten all this down with clamps and cement anchors! i agree if you go with black pipe underground to coat it with tar or something similar, i would have to look inot the flexible copper line and water contact, not sure about that? vince correct me if i am wrong, but i do not believe you use teflon tape for gas lines, i thought that was a big no no! pipe dope only and dope that is reated for your gas and maybe specific gas?
