Dear Chris Groat,=20

A friend of mine made his living for over twenty years out of Craquelle =
Pottery. Beside exploiting the misfit of glaze and clay he embellished =
his work with overglaze enamels and Liquid Gold Lustre. His work found a =
good market throughout Australia and was even purchased for presentation =
to Queen Elizabeth II. I wrote up a technical piece about him and his =
work for "Australian Pottery and Ceramics" which was subsequently =
republished about six years ago.

There are people out there who like Craquelle decoration. If you do a =
good job so that your work is technically perfect and aesthetically =
acceptable then exploit them while you can.

Best regards,

Ivor Lewis.
