Either clayart is down or I am unsubscribed. My reply to your
question didn't go through.
I have an artista as a second wheel. It is great. I also have a 7
year old Bailey.
I got the artista last year after NCECA. The sales rep convinced me
not to get the foot pedal.
I keep it in a table top and use it for different colored clays if
say I am many working on porcelain on the other wheel.
It is quiet. I have a friend whose student has one in his dorm room.
I think the noise won't be an issue. I has another friend with hip
arthritis who got one the very same
day he saw mine. He could no longer sit to throw. So he now stands
with his artista.
