Paul was asking for shelf wash recipes:

I use: 75% alumina oxide, 25% kaolin

Can anyone recommend a kiln wash recipe for silicon carbide (oxide
bonded, not nitride) kiln shelves for cone 10/11? I have an old batch of
kiln wash I mixed several years ago and hardly ever use because I
sprayed ITC on my last set of shelves, and it does not seem to adhere as
well to the SiC shelves. I have used in on a few high alumina shelves
with no problems so I am wondering if the recipe needs to be adjusted
for the different shelves? It has been so long since I mixed kiln wash
that I don't even remember what the recipe was - it may have been 50/50
alumina hydrate/EPK but I am not sure of it. Can anyone tell me what
they use for kiln wash?

Thanks,

Paul
