I am just back from Baltimore and am happy to send my booth shot, but I can
give you some much better advice: Flickr
Make it your friend. www.flickr.com Search "acc Baltimore" and you will
come up with hundreds of photos from the show. If you only look at photos
of other potter's booths, you are doing yourself, and your work, a
disservice. Look at photos of the entire show, as well as booths from
artists of other media. You don't want to just show off your work, but make
your booth environment stand out from the other 600+ exhibitors.
About Baltimore: FIRST: A huge "thank you" to the clayarters who made a
point of stopping by to introduce themselves. That put a fantastic spin on
the experience. You guys so rock!!!
There were A LOT of new artists this year, and the trend in booths really
was to create more of an "environment" than a "stall". There was a lot of
work that was very fresh and different, and some of challenged the idea of
what is thought of as "craft".
I am still worn down from driving back in awful weather, in the dark, in a
rented cargo van. My adventures included getting an emergency root canal
from a dentist I never met.... I will be writing about it on my bloggy
thing when my brain can put a sentence together. And pictures. I have
pictures.

my original message was:
I'm prepearing to revamp my booth and really upgrade the look and
functionality. I'd like to create a booth style that will look as though it
would fit into an American Craft Council Show or other high end type show,
outdoor and indoor.
I can't seem to find photos on line anywhere to give me good ideas for
display methods. The classic shelves around the perimeter just isn't
displaying my work that well. I've made some pedestals for sculpture but
still need ideas for layout as well as incorporating in some pottery dispaly
as well as interesting walls or backdrops. I'd really appreciate any booth
photos or referal to sites. I've read LOTs of literature on the subject,
now I'm looking for visual examples.
I got a few responses today (thanks you guys) but most were more casual
style booths, there must be a few Am. Craft Council artists out there who
have good booth shots. I've been accepted on wait list to an ACC show but
need to improve my booth before in case I get in.
please help!!!
