I am looking to develop two types of glazes. The first one looks like =
cracked earth, it may be dry and not flake off the pot. I have seen it =
where it may even bead slightly. Does anyone have any info for me to =
start testing with? The second glaze I would like to work on is a shine =
type that can be fired to cone six in an oxidation kiln. Thanks for any =
info that is out there.=20

Hello Calmers, who are you?
I would suggest having a look at Brian Gartsides web site for lots
of ideas on cracked earth glazes. We did a lot of experiments with 2 and 3
ingredient glaze mixes at one of his workshops and got all kinds of cracks.
Beads too.
You can do a search in the archives for plenty of cone 6 shino (I feel you
must mean)
receipes. My favorite way to search is through Google, clayart cone 6
shino, should give you plenty of ideas.
