I finally get one BEFORE NCECA and there is nothing in there. What gives?

Did I get the special 'You're an international subscriber so we
figure you're not coming so we didn't include it in your edition" issue?

Nothing in/with mine, either. So, not about being

the boat, as it were. - Dannon

I got the CM NCECA supplement (a thin 20 some page thing) by itself, but no
CM magazine!

Hi Russel,

It was a special separate mailing. I did not receive one either. After my
query on Clayart and being informed of this, I called CM, and they told me this
separate "insert" was mailed separately and only to those who had preregistered
for NCECA. Since I had done so, I asked them to mail me one, which did arrive
a few days later, and was obviously a special mailing, since it was addressed
by hand.

Hope you can get one sent to you somewhere before you get there.

Veena

Russel -

"International edition?" You give CM too much credit.
To specially bind & mail an international edition
would be a fairly sophisticated operation.

Someone apparently sold CM on the idea of mailing only
to the NCECA pre-registered list - a idea dumb enough
to piss off a lot of people. Not ALL of us
pre-registered by NCECA's absurdly early deadline of
Jan 12. By going along w/ NCECA's absurdity, CM has
given many of us just another reason NOT to read the
magazine.

Paper, ink, presswork and postage don't come cheap but
binding the program in the magazine gave CM an aura of
public service. Which was a plus particularly in view
of their stiff competition from Australia and
England.

The separate mailing is also pretty dumb from an NCECA
point of view. It prevents non-attendees from seeing
the program and vowing to be there NEXT year.

I don't know why, but I got both,
which is what should have been sent to others.
