Hi Everyone,

At the photography session in the Clayart room on Thursday evening I
said I would put a link to a 4-page pdf file up on my web site. I
haven't done that yet, but here is the link.

ftp://ftp.frogpondpottery.com/DigitalHandout.pdf

Feel free to download it and pass it on to others if you find it useful.

Regards,

John

Hi Bob,

Your Firewall may not be set to allow ftp downloads. Check those
settings first.

I can't download it either. I did manage to find the ftp thing, and
checked it, but that didn't help.

Just try this......http://www.frogpondpottery.com - it's a working
site but you'll have to search for the digital handouts there.

Hi Gail,

I'm not sure I know what else to suggest. My web site Urchin Report
says 180 people have downloaded it in the last couple days. One other
thing you might do. This file does not usually open automatically in
your browser (unless you are running Safari as your browser). It gets
put in a folder--wherever your computer is set to store downloads. Do
a file search for it and see if you can find it buried someplace on
your hard drive. You want to search for DigitalHandout.pdf

Maybe someone else will have something to suggest.

Regards,

John

Copy the whole link in the message
ftp://ftp.frogpondpottery.com/DigitalHandout.pdf .Paste in your browser
address slot. You should then be going to John's ftp address. This is not
the same as his web address which is an http.

Thanks, John. I did finally open it. And yes, i do use Safari so I
might have an additional copy.
Thanks for all your good work.

As unusual as this may seem to reply to one's own post, I want suggest
that maybe the issue is not the ftp connect ,but the pdf. activation in
your browser. It may just be possible that these download issues are
related to an out-of-date acrobat reader which is not able to open John's
article. Try updating your acrobat reader to the latest supported edition.
I am using the acrobat8 reader and was able to download the article just
fine.
