Hello all,

It was another wonderful NCECA, meeting lots of friends and having great conversations. There were some wonderful shows with great pots to feed my pottery addiction.

I wanted to personally thank everyone (you know who you are) who offered your support and sympathy after the incident that occured to my car in the Galt House parking garage on Saturday night. Some "scum of the earth" broke into my car through the driver's window and damaged the ignition and steering column. He stole the GPS system and rifled through the rest of the car and trunk. I made the mistake of leaving some of the pottery that I had purchased in the car in preparation for leaving on Sunday morning. He went through the packages but it was very fortunate that he did not take or break any of the work. I have learned a great lesson to not leave anything in the car in the future. The car is back home and being repaired.

The staff at the Galt House was very helpful and considerate about the incident. There were about 12 other guests who also had problems that night (they might need to increase security in the garage areas).

But the best thing that happened was the support of clayart friends and fellow potters. And a special thank you to Gail Phillips who helped me get back to Columbus and home after taking the car to the dealership for repair. She went about 4 hours out of her way to get home to Indy.

I look forward to seeing everyone next year and again, thank you all.

I'm sorry to hear about the break in, Tim. I know how it
feels. Someone broke into my Ford F-150 truck while it was
parked at Best Buy and stole my son's speakers. So he had an
alarm system installed.

The system has paid for itself, because it has prevented
another theft. Not long ago someone broke into the
passenger-side door but didn't take anything or do further
damage. The alarm must have frightened away the thief.

Sincerely,
