I tell ya, after hearing all the feedback about NCECA I am so jealous but I
am also so grateful we have something similar happening this weekend here in
British Columbia. I do plan on making it to New Orleans in 2008!

Hi, Lisa,

Hope you enjoyed the symposium as much as I did, although I was
frustrated I couldn't go say "Hi" to my good buddy Mark Hewitt. I did
have a wonderful opportunity to have a conversation with Magdelene
Ondundu, though. I looked for you, but not knowing what you looked
like, didn't find ya. I did see your wonderful teapot though!
Beautiful! I loved that glaze and it worked so well on the form.
Kudos to you! It was very enjoyable to see all the work.

I went to Kenichi Shigeno's demo on stencils, Jeannie Mah's print
transferrs and to Diane Creber's crystaline glaze presentations. I
must say I got a lot out of each one--plenty to think about. I think
I prefer the smaller, more intimate format of Shadbolt in many ways.
Being a highly distractible personality, it's easier for me to take
in.

I doubt if I'll go to New Orleans. I personally don't like the place
having been there many times and I'm concerned their being ready
(which I doubt they will be) and about safety. But, that's my own
buggaboo.

I'm a member of BC Potters, so I'll be on the look-out for any more
opportunities. It's a 3 1/2 hr drive for me from my house. Certainly
not a killer, but I did go up Friday and stayed overnight prior to
the symposium.

Cheers,
Jeanette
