In trying to understand Bernard Leach, it may be helpful to read the
book, "Spinning the Clay into Stars: Bernard Leach and the Baha'i Faith".
Three-quarters of the book contains the Selected Writings of Bernard Leach.
I've only just begun reading the book, but in trying to find the answers to
the posted questions, I found a man, who, late in life tried to deal with
issues of self and ego. So, I personally feel that some of the comments
that Leach made may have seemed judgmental at the time but that he may have
viewed things with a great deal more humility in his later years.
The book is published in paperback by George Ronald, Publisher - Oxford and
is also available through the Baha'i Distribution Service, Atlanta, GA, USA.
"Clay in man, clay on the wheel
Spinning like the earth and the stars,
Man spinning the clay into stars.
Life spinning the man - LIFE."
~ Bernard Leach
