Dear Clayarters,
School is finally coming to a close, (will graduate from George
Washington University with an M.F.A.) and moving "back home" is an
option. I have a couple of questions for the group....
1) Does anyone in Packerland have any suggestions on where to
START
looking for an adjunct position, (college or community college) in the
Milwaukee/Madison area?
2) I plan to take a trip up to Wisconsin in July...any suggestions for
ceramic sights to see, potters to visit?
Thanks in advance!

P.S. I will be at NCECA-hope to put some faces together with
names...and plan to put my strong arms to use on that one-armed
bandit....05 cent only!

The Cambridge Pottery Festival is a must-see. Cambridge itself is a "potters
town", home to several stoneware factories and *lots* of ceramic boutiques,
etc. In addition to the vendors, they have events like the "pottery
olympics" and do-it-yourself raku glazing/firing for the kids.
I'm not exactly sure when it takes place, I *think* it is in July.
(Cambridge is located between Madison and Lake Geneva, roughly -- really
beautiful area)
Anyone know the schedule?
Catherine

Hi Colleen,
I would recommend the potterys of: Jeff Oestrich, Linda Christenson,
Willem Gibben, Jan and Randy Johnston, Matt Metz/Linda Sikora. Let me
know if you need directions or phone numbers. Most of these are closer
to Gopher Town than Packer Town. :^)
