This is a message for anyone within reasonable shipping distance from
Edmonton, AB. A potter in that city, Helena Horak, would like to purchase a
used electric kiln, about 7 cu.ft. If you can help, please contact her via
telephone (403) 435-2919. Her mailing address is 7111 Saskatchewan Drive,
Edmonton, Alberta T6G 2A4. Thanks!

In spite of my best efforts, it seems my goddaughter wants to make pots!!!
And now she needs to find an affordable used electric kiln in the Washington,
DC area - email me privately, if you can help.

Secondly, a friend teaching high school ceramics is running into resistance
from students not wanting to reprocess the slop buckets.

What tricks do clayarts use to keep down the smell? I personally love it and
wouldn't do anything to thwart those little beasties from multiplying.

Thanks
Malcolm Davis

Malcolm, I seem to remember that when I first began taking lessons, my
teacher made us take turns recycling... but then when you have no fresh clay
and a powerful urge to create it tends to motivate you a little sooner.
