And the holes can be 'filled' with pop rivets(stainless, of course)
to secure the wire and seal the hole.

Dear Clayart,
Sorry to bother you with a mundane hardware question.
I am in urgent need of ceramic fibre anchors and can't seem to
find them in stock with local suppliers I know here in Ontario,
Canada. For some reason, they can't seem to obtain them in less than
4 weeks!
Firing to stoneware temperature, I'm using the ceramic fastener
system which consists of a notched stainless steel stud, ceramic cone
'hat', and 4 inch ceramic washer. I need 20 sets for a major repair -
pots are waiting.
Suppliers either here or in the States would be best. Please reply
to me off the list and if anyone else wants to hear the outcome of
this, please contact me as well.
Thanks for your help,
Eric Lindgren

Hi Eric,

Just make an equivelent faster out of some appropriate ^ Clay...

Make some 'buttons' ( or little 'Pan-Cakes' ) in effect, of the diameter you
feel is suitable, , with small holes in them for Wire to pass
through...fired to whatever Cone makes sense.

Use scrap Ni-Chrome Wire passing through the holes in these, to secure the
fiber to the Walls...passing the wire through the Walls if need be, via
dedicated slender holes...

I just rolled out some porcelain and used a big cookie cutter. They have
been to ^10 and above many times and are still in fine shape.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply! However I have already located some available
inventory and ordered elsewhere.
I'll keep your info on hand for the future though.
Thanks again,
Eric Lindgren
