Under Windows XP you do the following:
Start/Accessories/System Tools/Character Map
Select the item you need and hit copy. Now it's on the clipboard ready
to paste where you need it.

No, it's hidden somewhere in your word processor program's tool bar or
ribbon. Look under 'edit' probably. There are tables of oddball characters
and for sure the little C thingie is there. Do what I do: click on every
darn thing until you find it. It's there somewhere.
