There is a symbol on the Kyoto Raku Museum website that might be what
you are looking for. It is located at the top left of the page at
this address: www.raku-yaki.or.jp/e/index.html

There are a couple of ways to find the kanji. Go here, http://www.yahoo.co.=
jp/ and put 'raku' in 'abc's' into the search box and you will come up with=
a lot of versions of the same kanji. You can also put in 'tanoshii' which =
means fun, happy and is the actual meaning of the kanji if used outside of =
the context of the ceramic world. Alternatively try http://en.wikipedia.org=
/wiki/Raku_ware or http://www.aisf.or.jp/~jaanus/deta/r/rakuyaki.htm I reco=
mmend the Jaanus site for anything related to Japan.

This is interesting. When you plug in the kanji, you get a very
different image search =3DE6=3DA5=3DBD :

http://www.google.com/images?rlz=3D3D1C1_____en&q=3D3D%E6%A5%BD&um=3D3D1&ie=

-8&source=3D3Dog&sa=3D3DN&hl=3D3Den&tab=3D3Dwi&biw=3D3D989&bih=3D3D554

Compared to plugging in raku :

This is a good online translator (choose romanized Japanese):

http://www.csse.monash.edu.au/~jwb/cgi-bin/wwwjdic.cgi?1C

when you put in Raku, you get:

=3DE6=3DA5=3DBD =3DE3=3D80=3D90=3DE3=3D82=3D89=3DE3=3D81=3D8F=3DE3=3D80=3D=
91 (adj-na,n,n-suf) comfort; e=3D
ase; (P)
