I have recently moved to Los Angeles and am looking for some pottery
classes. I've taken a wheel throwing class, but I still consider myself a
beginner...also I am just out of college so I am low on cash.
Any suggestions? I would greatly appreciate any help.

Hi Julie,
I would like to recommend you look into the ceramic program at Glendale
Comm. College,
it is the finest program I know. The instrutors are top rate and you can
gain in-depth knowledge.
Bob Kiebler has put together a great staff and you'll have a grand time
learning.
I don't know the present cost, but for the money, you can't do better.
I most caution you that it is hard work,so be prepared.
Please let me know how you make out.
Good luck,
Mario Quilles, Santa Fe,NM

Julie,
I know of three places (but there are more): CSUN Cal State University
Northridge, call Connie at 818-677-2798; The Clayhouse, in Santa Monica,
310-677-2798; and Everywoman's Village in Van Nuys, 818-787-5100.
Good luck,
Andy

Everywomans Village is not doing well and might close its doors.
CSUN- does not have good reds, but Connie is great. " Inner Vision Earth Art"
maintains all there equipment.
The clay house has old equipment.
And, Hi Andy you were one of my students a long time ago. I sold you your
first wheel. Glad you stuck with it.
