Hi all,

We are Hanneke (potter) and Chris (potter-spouse) from Holland.

A potter friend of us lives in Tucson (Az) and is marrying on April
1. We like to attend the wedding, and also want to spend some weeks
in northern Mexico, Arizona or any other place in that area which is
worth visiting.

We have contemplated renting a camper, but it seems cumbersome to
have to find a camping spot every evening. So we now think about a
rental car and hotels (or bed and breakfast).

Apart from nature (grand canyon) we are mainly interested in pottery
and all kinds of folk music.

If you have any suggestions for places to see or avoid, or other tips
please let us know.

Regards,

Hanneke and Chris Oort

I have lived in New Mexico and owned and drove a Volkswagan Vanagon. I
enjoyed my vehicle there immensely becasue there wee so many places to seen
while touring, and when I wanted I would just pull off the road most
anywhere for the night.

Were I traveling tourist I would do the same in that country. I would stay
at a B&B or Motel only occasionally for a bath and to wash clothes, watch tv
one night and get a different kind of nights rest, although I sleep as well
or better in my van than on a regular bed.

Camper is the way to go.

Just my opinion.
