My brother, an attorney who specializes in debt collection, would applaude
your strategy. He advises me to send only COD and collect as much up-front
as possible. He says 30 days net is for big corporations who can afford loss
and risk.
In the real world however, I find myself giving 30 days net and finding out
it usually turns into 60-90 days, and wishing I'd listened to my brother! I
guess how we set our terms all depends upon how much risk we are willing to
assume.
