Neither would I Mel, but I did a very stupid thing the other day because I
was tired and in too much of a hurry. I forgot to cover the PTO drive shaft
on my grey fergie tractor and stood between the carry-all and the back of
the tractor to dismount the carry-all. The shaft was still engaged to the
engine which was left running. The shaft gripped my trousers and proceeded
to pull me into it. Luckily my belt broke and the shaft tore the leg off my
trousers. It left me with severe bruising and friction burns to my left
calf.

Having once been the victim of an industrial accident which has left me with
diminished use of my hands, I am usually super conscious of safety. In this
case the brain switched off and .... disaster. Fortunately, relatively
minor.

You can NEVER be too careful.

Just a short rant. Yes, Mel. Stupidity is supposed to be terminal. It is
natures way of saying "YOU! Outta the gene pool." I get very frustrated by
this attitude of a perfect world. Life is a scary and dangerous place. It
is also wondrous and beautiful. Don't miss the good stuff by staying to
safe. But, don't let someone else protect you from yourself and insult your
intelligence in the process. Jeri in Hastings
