Hi,
I'm new this this group and am looking forward being part of it. I'm
having a problem and hope that you can help me. I've recently started
making a set of dinner plates (with wide rims) from slabs. I've been using
an existing "charger plate" as my mold.
I'm having a problem with the rim of the plates slumping during the 2nd
firing. Is there a trick to avoiding this. I was thinking of high firing
each plate inside another that has already been high fired. For me, it's
going to be a little difficult to figure out the right size to make this
second larger plate though. I would appreciate any suggestions.
Please reply to me directly as well as posting. Thank you in advance.
